The History of North America
North America, also known as the United States of America, has a prosperous history. It is known as the strongest country, and has seen many wars. The US has expanded vastly throughout the many years and decades.
Before the founding of North America in 1492, there were two groups who inhabited the land, the Hopewell, and the Anasazi tribes. The Hopewell tribe was located in the Eastern farming regions, and the Anasazi tribe was located in the South-West region. The Eastern Hopewell tribe sometimes organized near the Mississippi. Other native tribes lived as nomads and would travel and live anywhere in the Mid-West and Canada. These tribes did not have a formal government or a designated territory. Columbus’s journey in 1492 to would begin the development of North America.
The European nations organized colonies on the coast of North America. The French and British had full control over the northern regions. In 1700 AD, 13 British colonies were organized along the coast of the region, and France colonized Canada and a majority of the Mississippi river and expanded to the Louisiana Purchase territory. America would soon secede from Great Britain in the American War for Independence, also known as the Revolutionary War. The colonies of North America united in 1781, and were now the United States of America.
The development of the United States is a large part of world history. The history from this great nation is still seen today. North America is and will always be remembered as the strongest country in the world.
